Paid Social Media Team Lead
We are looking for an experienced Paid Social Lead to take ownership of all things paid social within our growing eCommerce digital agency. As the agency’s leading subject matter expert in paid social, you will drive innovation, implement best-in-class strategies, and scale the team’s capabilities. This role is central to advancing our paid social offering, piloting new ad products, and ensuring our clients stay ahead of the curve in an ever-evolving digital landscape.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Expertise and Knowledge Sharing
- - Be the agency’s leading expert on paid social, driving thought leadership, innovation, and strategy development.
- - Train and mentor internal teams on emerging trends, platform updates, and best practices across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and other key platforms.
- - Work closely with the Performance Managers to translate performance data into actionable recommendations and insights.
Campaign Execution & Performance
- - Oversee the planning, execution, and optimisation of high-performance paid social campaigns.
- - Ensure best practices are applied to audience targeting, bid strategies, budget allocation, and creative performance.
- - Work with our measurement and analytics team to track incremental uplift, ROAS, and campaign effectiveness.
Team Growth & Development
- - Build, mentor, and manage an expanding team of paid social specialists, while overseeing and delegating responsibilities effectively to maximise efficiency in campaign execution and team workload
- - Develop structured SOPs and training materials to standardise campaign management and execution.
- - Collaborate with colleagues to align multi-channel strategies across search, display, and social.
Client Engagement and Succes
- - Join key client meetings to present new strategies, campaign performance insights, and growth opportunities.
- - Provide strategic consultation to clients on paid social investments, audience segmentation, and performance improvements.
- - Lead the development and execution of full-funnel paid social strategies tailored to eCommerce brands.
Technology & Automation
- - Implement and manage third-party tools (e.g., AI-driven creative testing, automation platforms, audience segmentation tools) to enhance workflow efficiency and campaign performance.
- - Evaluate and onboard technology solutions that can streamline reporting, performance analysis, and campaign execution.
- - Stay ahead of platform developments and advocate for early adoption of new paid social innovations.

REQUIREMENTS
Your background
- - 3+ years of experience in paid social media management, preferably in an agency or client setting.
- - Proven track record of scaling paid social accounts with a data-driven approach.
- - Experience with test-and-learn frameworks and running structured experiments for optimisation.
- - Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- - Hands-on experience across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Snapchat, and emerging paid social platforms.
- - Comfortable leading a team and working cross-functionally with performance managers, creative teams, and measurement analysts.
- - Experience using automation and third-party technology to enhance paid social effectiveness.
- - Excellent communication and presentation skills for internal training and client-facing discussions.
- - Love eCommerce and love working with emerging direct-to-consumer brands
- - You are based in Sydney and have Australian working rights.
