Overview

Khy launched in late 2023 and went straight to the centre of American fashion: a drop-based label of elevated essentials and collaboration capsules, co-founded by Kylie Jenner. Elephant Room ran paid social ahead of our wider US expansion, with a brief to turn a level of attention most brands never see into demand the business could plan around.

THE CHALLENGE

Celebrity gravity is real, but it is not a media plan. Every Khy drop arrives with enormous organic reach, a short selling window and a catalogue that can change shape overnight. Paid has to add demand the audience would not have delivered on its own, and it has to do it inside windows measured in days, not quarters.

The US market compounds the challenge: higher auction costs, shorter attention spans and a customer who has seen every playbook. Between launches, the engine still had to acquire new customers while preserving efficiency so each collection launched into warm demand, not cold audiences.

THE APPROACH

How the engagement was structured.

Before a drop, the work was demand shaping. Each release got its own forecast and funnel split agreed ahead of the window, with budgets curved to the moment, audiences primed through prospecting, and campaign builds finished and checked days before go-live. By the time a collection landed, the account already knew what the launch was supposed to do.

Inside the drop window, execution was the strategy. Launches went live to the hour across Meta and TikTok, spend scaled with sell-through rather than a preset pacing curve, and the team read early signal in real time, because a collection that sells through in hours doesn't leave room for a Tuesday optimisation pass.

Between drops, the engine built its base. Prospecting kept new audiences moving into the funnel, retargeting worked each release's long tail, and lead generation fed the lifecycle list, so every launch landed on a warmer audience than the last. The structure stayed simple enough to read clearly when the next spike hit.

Underneath it all ran a weekly operating rhythm: Monday reporting the brand team could trade on, top ads and learnings alongside the numbers, creative iteration supported in-house and with the brand's creative partners, and collaboration capsules treated as campaigns in their own right. Discipline underneath the noise: knowing exactly what paid contributed when everything spiked at once.

THE OUTCOME

Khy traded with a paid social engine designed for how the label actually sells: sharp, planned pushes around each drop, and a steady acquisition rhythm in between, sized to a brand whose ceiling was still moving.

The partnership anchored our US expansion, sitting alongside Ksubi and Outcast in the roster, run with the same operating rhythm we use for drop-led brands at home: plan the moment, feed the auction, read the result, go again.
